Ace Bollywood actor set to make his debut in TFI

Bollywood actor Vijay Varma, who appeared in Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchanstarrer PINK, is now making his debut in Telugu cinema with MCA which stars Nani in the lead role. Vijay Varma begun his acting career as a theatre artist in Hyderabad and was part of many plays.

Speaking to media, Vijay Varma confirmed that he has signed the dotted line for his first Telugu cinema. Vijay said that director of MCA Venu Sreeram contacted him through a common friend and that’s how this film worked out for him.

Vinay Varma appeared in quite a few Telugu films including Nani‘s Gentleman in which he plays Nivetha Thomas‘s uncle.MCA features Natural Star Nani and Premam actress Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, and is being directed by Venu Sreeram.

The film is being produced by Dil Raju who is known to introduce new talent and try new ideas in the industry. Tag-lined Middle Class Abbayi, MCA will be Nani’s third film in 2017 after Nenu Local with Keerthy Suresh in lead and Ninnu Kori which is releasing on July 7, 2017.

Latest update about Powerstar’s next release date

It is already a common knowledge that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is busy shooting for his next film in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. Pawan has been shooting around the clock for the movie.

Hence the movie unit is currently not particular about the release date. Though the makers wanted to release the film for Sankranthi next year that will be a long time as the complete work is expected to be wrapped up by September.

Trivikram is in plans to wrap up the principle shoot and then inform the official release date for the buyers. Keerthy Suresh, Anu Emannuel are the female leads and Victory Venkatesh will be seen in a cameo. S Radha Krishna is bankrolling this prestigious project and Anirudh is composing the tunes.

Nani to don a dual role for the third time

Natural Star Nani has been going great guns in his career and he has scored back to back hits in the recent years. He is all set to enthrall with his next Ninnu Kori which has been aimed for July 7th release. Siva Nirwana is the director and Nivetha Thomas is the female lead.

Nani is busy shooting for his next movie titled MCA. Venu Sriram is directing the film and Sai Pallavi is the female lead. Dil Raju is bankrolling the movie which has been aimed for November release this year. Nani signed his next film in the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi who earlier directed films like Venkatadri Express and Express Raja.

Touted to be romantic comedy and Nani will be seen in a dual role. Nani is doing this for the third time in his career after Jenda Pai Kapiraju and Gentleman. The regular shoot of the film will start later this year once Nani wraps up the shoot of MCA.

NTR impresses big time with his Bigg Boss show second teaser

With Jr NTR coming on-board to host the Telugu version of Bigg Boss, the reality show is now the most watched out for on Telugu television. Telugu Bigg Boss is currently the most talked about thing currently in Telugu entertainment circles.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is undoubtedly one of the most popular and successful stars in Southern cinema today. Moreover, she has become the resident heartthrob of the industry because of her good looks and cute smile.

‘Rangasthalam’ is touted to be a period romantic-drama and also features Ram Charan in the lead. It is being directed by Sukumar and will hit screens in 2018. Charan and Sam recently returned to Hyderabad after wrapping up the Rajamundry schedule.

In it, he will be seen alongside the lovely Tamannaah Bhatia. A source close to the film added, “Tamannaah and Prabhas are good friends, and he is more than happy to do anything for his close friends. It’s a special appearance which will enhance the story.”

Interestingly, Prabhas and Tamannaah have previously collaborated for Rebel and Baahubali. Their chemistry in these films was quite crackling to say the least. As such, it will be worth watching if the two are able to make an impact this time as well.

Khamoshi is touted to be a murder mystery- thriller. In it, Tamannaah is essaying the role played by Nayanthara in the Tamil version.

NTR’s next release date locked

NTR is currently at the peak stage of his career with so many extraordinary projects under his belt. After the enormous success of Janatha Garage, NTR’s stardom has only amplified and is rapidly going higher by the day. NTR is now working on his upcoming film titled Jai Lava Kusa which is being directed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby.

Jai Lava Kusa will have NTR play triple roles for the first time in his career and probably will be the first actor from the current lot of stars after Mega Star Chiranjeevi, who played triple roles in Mugguru Monagallu, to play the three different roles in a film.

The makers of Jai Lava Kusa announced the release date of the film and it will join the bandwagon of few top stars that will release during the same reason. Jai Lava Kusa will be released during the festive season of Dussehra on September 21st, 2017.

Jai Lava Kusa is currently being shot in Hyderabad with the complete cast and crew of the film. The film features Bollywood actor Ronit Roy as the other bad guy and will be his first outing in Telugu cinema. Jai Lava Kusa features Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas in the female lead roles.

Blockbuster collections all over! DJ creates storm at the box office

Duvvada Jagannadham, featuring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hedge in lead roles, hit the screens on Friday with packed theaters. The tickets for this movie were sold out for the first three days till Sunday and the screens are running full houses. Duvvada Jagannadham opened to a record openings in more than 300 screens worldwide and this is the first time in the career of Allu Arjun.

The first day collections of Duvvada Jaganadham were massive and made a monumental gross amount of INR 33 crores worldwide. This is the highest collections for any film in the career of Stylish Star Allu Arjun.

With a total share of INR 75 crores in the Telugu speaking states alone, Duvvada Jagannadham has become a smashing hit now. Directed by Harish Shankar, Duvvada Jagannadham is enroute to become a blockbuster hit in their careers.

Veteran top actress set for a comeback

After Nadiya, Meena, Madhu and Sukanya, now it’s the turn of another 90s actress Nirosha to return to T-town to essay the role of a mother in Nuvvu Thopu Raa.

The dusky actress is making a comeback to Tollywood after 12 years. Nirosha will be playing a mother to hero Sudhakar Komakula and guides him to the right path.

While speaking about the film, the makers said, “Quite a significant role for the seasoned actress since she instantly agreed to do the film as she liked the script. She is also excited about her T-town comeback.”

Mahesh donates a whopping amount to ‘Heal A Child Foundation’

Mahesh took the time to personally fulfilled the wish of his fan 14 years Sushmita, who has been suffering from a Genetic Disorder called Down Syndrome.

Will NTR appear in Mahanati biopic?

Mahanati, a biopic on yesteryear legendary actress Savitri, is presently being shot in and around Hyderabad with the cast of the unit which includes Dulquer Salmaan and Keerthy Suresh.

The prestigious project is being directed by Nag Ashwin who earlier directed Yevade Subramaniam with Nani in the lead role. The biopic is being produced by Swapna Dutt, daughter of eminent producer Aswini Dutt, under the banner Swapna Cinemas.
The film has an ensemble cast that includes Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu among others. And according to emerging reports in Telugu film circles, the cast of the film gets a big boost with another top star added to the existing big star cast.

If the latest reports are to be believed, Jr NTR is being considered to play the role of his grandfather, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, in the film. Mahanati is being considered as one of the most prestigious films in the history of Telugu cinema since it is based on the life of the legendary iconic actress Savitri.

Is Multi-starrer on cards with Mahesh – Vamshi Paidipally’s flick?

Super Star Mahesh Babu changed the direction of the film industry when he agreed to act in a multi-starrer with Venkatesh in Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Since then, there have been quite a few multi-starrers made which is a good sign for any industry. There was Gopala Gopala with Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan, Oopiri for Nagarjuna and Karthi, Janatha Garage for NTR and Mohanlal and many more.

These films had a positive impact on the film industry in terms of numbers and a rise in the gross revenue was noticed by trade analysts. And looks like Mahesh Babu wants to continue this trend and keep doing multi-starrers without any hesitations.

As per reports, Allari Naresh will be working alongside Mahesh in the latter’s upcoming film with Vamshi Paidipally, which is yet to be titled. It is heard that Naresh has already given his nod and the shooting of this interesting project will begin towards the end of 2017.
The title of the film is yet to be decided and major portions of the film will be shot in the US. Rest of the cast is yet to be finalised by the makers. The film is being produced by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt.

If you are a fan of the much-loved and highly-talented Ronit Roy then we have some good news in store for you. According to reports, the versatile actor has been roped in to play the antagonist in Jr NTR’s ‘Jai Lava Kusa’.

A source close to the unit said that, “Ronit plays the villain. He has already started shooting and the team is currently filming an action sequence in a stone quarry in Hyderabad.”
Interestingly, Ronit has previously received rave reviews for his negative roles in films such as ‘Ugly’ and ‘Boss’.

Meanwhile, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is touted to be an action film and features Jr NTR in a triple role. Besides him, it also features Nivetha Thomas and Raashi Khanna in the lead.

Rana’s Nenu Raju Nene Mantri trailer to exhibit Jogendra’s character

The theatrical trailer release of Nene Raju Nena Mantri featuring Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal is being released on June 23rd, 2017. Nene Raju Nene Mantri seems to be the most anticipated film of the season. Rana plays a ruthless politician in which is directed by writer/director Teja.

Talking about Nene Raju Nene Mantri, Director Teja says,” The trailer will bring to light Rana’s ability to transform into Jogendra’s character with laden attitude.”

Review: Duvvada Jagganadam – Loads of action, thrills, fun and twists

After an impressive show in his previous outing as powerful happy-go-lucky guy, Stylish Star Allu Arjun joins hands with Harish Shankar for a romantic and action entertainer Sarrainodu. The film finally hit the screens today. Let us see what  is on store for us.

Story:

Duvvada Jagannadham (Allu Arjun) works as a cook master. He will take care of the events and functions happening nearby his place. During that course, one day unexpectedly, he meets Pooja Hedge and from there the love story starts and takes many turns in a twisted way until the end.

In that palace, crores of a property is named after the Brahmin community. Royaala Naidu (Rao Ramesh) eyes that property and he will try to grab the land from them. Meanwhile, the villain also has similar plans and sends his men to India to get hold of the property. 

DJ fights with these people who came to India to take the land. Later, he will go to a foreign country to meet the main Villain by changing his avatar to bring some justice to their community people. What happens next? What is the relationship between Duvvada Jagannadham and the villain? Did DJ brings justice to his community? What happens to their love story? Forms the rest of the story.

Positive Aspects: 

The first half is total entertainment with loads of fun particularly the Allu Arjun- Pooja Hedge love track. Allu Arjun has mesmerized the fans with his dancing and the songs are simply superb placed according to the situation in the movie. 

Allu Arjun has impressed the audience with his dance and punch dialogues. In his Brahmin avatar, he has managed to entertain the audience a lot, however, it falls short when compared to Jr NTR in the similar role. Pooja Hedge and Rao Ramesh’s performance is quite different from other movies and it will showcase them in a better image after Duvvada Jagannadham.

Harish Shankar is that director who wants to change the face of Telugu cinema but has recently taken the comfortable route of making action-entertainers with his signature elements of extremely powerful dialogues and strong emotional connect. 

This time, the story of a Brahmin guy and his transformation into powerful intelligence officer. This is one of his mature performances, thanks to Harish Shankar’s character sketch. 

DJ is not that regular template you come across, but definitely has all the ingredients to appeal to audiences of all classes and masses. Be it the situations where the story is first established and then the characters being introduced, Harish Shankar has trusted his screenplay, his cast and DSP’s music as the USP to pull off a simple story quite engagingly. 

Pooja Hedge comes almost throughout the film and also her looks and comical timing and sizzling chemistry comprehend each other. She couldn’t have asked for a better film. Her presence tickle the funny bone in the first half of the film. It was surprising to see all the roles being given equal prominence and nothing or nobody was unnecessary.

It is Rao Ramesh’s characterization coinciding with the core story and lots of appealing situational comedy that gets the going interesting. Rao Ramesh’s expertise as an actor does add so much value to the film.

Vennela Kishore giving their share of funny moments, DJ doesn’t become a strain to follow. Allu Arjun is almost the best dancer in the country and all his movements are always jaw-dropping, particularly the different types of moon-walks he manages to do. Even the songs had some pleasing scenes fused in to save some time on the story and not take another minute to go into the story. DJ gets better when some minute nuances in the story outsmart a situation, and ends on a high. 

 First half of the movie is mind-blowing and it increases the audience’s curiosity to know the second part of the movie. A climax is a major highlight in the movie and Allu Arjun’s chase behind the villain scene is awesome.

Special mentions for the production value in the backdrops and the climax song. DSP’s rocking BGM and energetic songs are major highlight of the film. Edits in the songs and the fights were above-average. Prasad’s camera work was fresh and real. A big winner for the Harish Shankar- Allu Arjun combo.

Verdict:

Allu Arjun show all the way. Bunny rocked in every aspect. The captain behind the cinema did a PH.D in defining the mass and romantic flicks. He perfectly knows the pulse of audience. Indulge in the world of action, thrills , fun and twists.

Bharath Ane Nenu gets tentative teaser date

Super Star Mahesh Babu has joined the sets of Bharath Ane Nenu which is being directed by Koratala Siva. Just few days back, we reported that Mahesh Babu‘s first schedule will take place in the city outskirts of Hyderabad where they are set to canne some crucial scenes.

It is for the first time Mahesh Babu will be seen essaying the role of Chief Minister in Bharath Ane Nenu and it would be a patriotic film as per the industry sources.
If the latest reports are to be believed that the makers of Bharath Ane Nenu are planning to release a teaser of Mahesh Babu on the occasion of Prince’s birthday to enthrall the fans.
Still, it is unclear and an official announcement is yet to be made by the filmmakers. If this news comes true then it would be a delighted moment for Mahesh fans and audience.

Prabhas and KJo to team up for two budget flicks

Post-Baahubali Prabhas has become most sought of an actor in Tollywood. There were few producers and directors of Tollywood are in a queue to work with him.
