Team Baahubali is on cloud nine as the film emerged as first Indian movie to cross 1000 Crores at the box office. Well, here’s shocking and interesting fact about Baahubali. Not many are aware that the initial casting choices for the now iconic characters were not the ones everyone got to witness on screen.

The titular character of Baahubali, the role was offered first to Power Star Pawan Kalyan. It is heard that director SS Rajamouli felt that Pawan Kalyan had the diction, image, body language and dialogue delivery suited for the role of Baahubali.

However, Pawan Kalyan passed on the offer as he was not willing to spend so much time on one movie while he could do more in the given time. Interestingly, Prabhas was offered Bhallaladeva’s role which later on went to Rana Daggubati. Also, the character of Sivagami was initially offered to Sridevi but later landed on Ramya Krishna lap.
