మారుతి.. దర్శకుడిగానే కాకుండా నిర్మాతగా కూడా తన కంటూ ఓ ప్రత్యేక పంథా చాటుకున్నాడు. డైరెక్టర్‌గా మారిన మొదట్లో కాస్త అడల్ట్‌ కంటెంట్‌ ఉన్న చిత్రాలను తీశాడు. దాంతో ఆయనపై బూతు దర్శకుడు అనే పేరు వచ్చింది. ఇక తాను ఘోస్ట్‌గా ఉండి ‘ప్రేమ కథా చిత్రమ్‌’ చిత్రాన్ని తీశాడు. ఇది ఓ సంచలనం. మరలా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా హర్రర్‌ కామెడీ చిత్రాలకు ఇది ఊపిరి పోసింది. 

 

హర్రర్‌కి కామెడీని ఆయన జోడించిన విధానం అద్భుతమనే చెప్పాలి. ఇక ఆయన ఎక్కువగా కొత్త హీరో హీరోయిన్లు, నటీనటులతో చిత్రాలు చేస్తారు. లో బడ్జెట్‌లోనే మంచి క్వాలిటీతో చిత్రాలు తీసి నిర్మాతలకు కల్పవృక్షంగా మారాడు. అంతే కాదు.. తానే కథను అందించి, స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేను సమకూర్చి నిర్మాతగా మారి కొత్త దర్శకులకు, టాలెంట్‌ దర్శకులకు కూడా చాలా అవకాశాలు ఇస్తూ వచ్చాడు. ఇక ఆయన యువి క్రియేషన్‌, గీతా ఆర్ట్స్‌ సంయుక్తంగా నాని హీరోగా నిర్మించగా, ఆయన దర్శకత్వం వహించిన ‘భలే భలే మగాడివోయ్‌’ చిత్రం సంచలన విజయం సాధించింది. ఆయన బూతునే కాదు.. ఆరోగ్యకరమైన కామెడీని ఫ్యామిలీ సెంటిమెంట్‌కు జోడించి కూడా తన సత్తా చూపించగలడని ఈ చిత్రం నిరూపించింది. 

 

గత కొంతకాలంగా మారుతి కాస్త డౌన్‌ఫాల్‌లో ఉన్నాడు. వెంకటేష్‌తో చేసిన చిత్రం అనుకున్న విజయం సాధించలేకపోయంది. ఇక శర్వానంద్‌తో ‘మహానుబాహుడు’ తీయనున్నాడు. దీనిపై భారీ అంచనాలే ఉన్నాయి. కాగా ఆయన ప్రస్తుతం తానే నిర్మాతగా, ‘రోజులు మారాయి’ దర్శకుడు మురళి దర్శకత్వంలో ఓ చిత్రం నిర్మిస్తున్నాడు. సైలెంట్‌గా షూటింగ్‌ జరుపుకుంటున్న ఈ చిత్రం షూటింగ్‌ ఇప్పటికే 50శాతం పూర్తయిందట. ఇందులో ఇద్దరు కొత్త హీరోలు నటిస్తున్నారని సమాచారం. కాగా ఈ చిత్రానికి మారుతి ‘ఆకలిరాజ్యంలో అంతులేని కథ’ అనే టైటిల్‌ను ఫిక్స్‌ చేసినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. 

 

‘ఆకలిరాజ్యం, అంతులేని కథ’ ఈ రెండు చిత్రాలను లెజెండరీ దర్శకుడు స్వర్గీయ బాలచందర్‌ తీశారు. రెండు ట్రెండ్‌ సెట్టర్స్‌గా నిలిచాయి. సమకాలీన పరిస్థితులను చూపిస్తూ, నిరుద్యోగ సమస్యతో పాటు పలు అంశాలను ఈ చిత్రంలో ఆయన చూపించనున్నాడని సమాచారం. మొత్తానికి మారుతి ఈ చిత్రం టైటిల్‌తోనే మంచి ఆసక్తిని రేకెత్తిస్తున్నాడని చెప్పవచ్చు.

A man with golden heart no more!

Dasari Narayana Rao, a reputed film director, actor, writer and former Union minister of state for coal, died on Tuesday after prolonged illness. He is survived by two sons and a daughter. Dasari Narayana Rao celebrated his 75th birthday on May 4 this year.

He has been hospitalized for a while now. He was put on haemo-dialysis after his condition worsened after a gastric ballon surgery was performed about three days ago. His condition turned serious on Tuesday as heavy fluctuations were noticed in his blood pressure and sugar levels.

It may be mentioned that Dasari was admitted to KIMS after he complained of difficulty in breathing. He was later discharged from the hospital. Since then, his health continued to deteriorate.

Dasari was born on May 4, 1942 in Palakollu in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Dasari, who belongs to politically powerful Kapu community in Andhra, entered into active politics in early 2000 through the Congress party.

He was considered to be close to AICC president Sonia Gandhi and was elected to Rajya Sabha. He became the minister of state for coal in Manmohan Singh government during the UPA-II regime.

Dasari Narayana Rao holds the Guinness Book of Records for directing 125 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. He also received two National Film Awards, nine state Nandi awards, and four Filmfare awards.

Veteran actor Mohan Babu rejected number of films in the recent years. But now he decided to come back to silver screen. It is heard that he was thrilled with Pa Paandi and decides to remake it.

Shocking!!! Why Shruthi Haasan opted out from Sanghamitra?

It is common knowledge that Shruti Haasan was roped in to play the titular role in the upcoming big budget period drama Sangamithra. However, now coming to everyone’s surprise she has shockingly been dropped from the project.

Even the first look featuring Shruti Haasan as the warrior princess Sangamithra was released at Cannes. She has also been undergoing training in martial arts as she was preparing to play a warrior queen in Sangamithra.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to proceed working with Shruti Haasan in Sangamithra,” Sri Thenandal Films, the producers of Sangamithra, announced on social media.

However, there is no clarity on the issue. The film also stars Arya and Jayam Ravi, Sangamithra will reportedly be produced on a budget of Rs 450 crore. Tamil director Sundar C is on board to direct this epic film set in the 8th century AD.

The principal shooting of Superstar Rajinikanth‘s next Tamil outing Kaala Karikaalan shooting commenced. A source close to Superstar said, “Rajinikanth sir has also joined the sets. He left for Mumbai last evening from Chennai. This will be a week-long schedule where the makers will shoot some key scenes that require Mumbai as the backdrop.”

The source further added, “The schedule will take place in Chennai where the makers have built a huge replica of Dharavi slum of Mumbai. “On a budget of nearly Rs 5 crore, a set of Dharavi slum has been recreated for the film. Major portion of the film will be shot here.”

Rajinikanth is rumoured to be playing a gangster again after “Kabali“. Actress Huma Qureshi is said to be playing the leading lady, while Anjali Patil and Sakshi Aggarwal will be seen in key roles. Produced by Dhanush, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

Young actor Nithiin is busy shooting for his next LIE in the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. Touted to be a romantic entertainer, the shooting of the film is taking place in USA from the past few weeks and is expected to be wrapped up soon.

Star director starts pre-production activities of his next

Star director SS Rajamouli is back to the city after a small vacation in London. It is heard that Samantha’s role started working on the script of his next which will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya.

A source close to Rajamouli said that he will take a call on the lead actor once the script of the film gets locked. He is said to spend three to six months initially on the script after which the shooting schedules will be planned and the actors will be locked.

Mahanati is one of the most awaited projects in TFI. The film will be based on the life story of the legendary actress Savitri. Young director Nag Ashwin will direct the film.

Having grossed over Rs 1,557 crore across the globe in 28 days, Baahubali: The Conclusion emerged to be the second highest grossing Indian movie ever. Aamir Khan’s Dangal is still in the lead to be the highest grossing Indian movie.

So far, SS Rajamouli directed Baahubali 2 has managed to set trends by becoming the highest grosses in 29 states and is the first Indian movie to join Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 1,500 crore clubs.

“Ram’s look and body language will be different and attractive’ says producer Sravanti Ravikishore, who describes the concept as ‘refreshing’. “Living up to the raising expectations, we have come up an engaging plot and screenplay and also every character will have its significance,’ adds director Kishore.

Vinayak’s next with Mega hero?

Popular director VV Vinayak is on cloud nine with the blockbuster hit of Chiranjeevi’s comeback flick Khaidi No 150.

It is learnt that Vinayak revealed that he is working on a script for Supreme actor Sai Dharam Tej. However, an official confirmation about the project is awaited. It is also heard that this is going to be the highest budgeted film in Sai’s career and will have Vinayak mark elevations and entertainment.

Meanhwile, Sai Dharam is busy with Jaawan.VV Vinayak‘s film will go on floors early next year. The makers are planning to rope in Lavanya Tripathi as the leading lady role.

As per the reports, NTR has given his nod to host a show on Star Maa. The complete details about the show are yet to be received by the makers.

On the work front, Tarak is busy shooting for his upcoming film Jai Lava Kusa, which is being directed by Bobby. NTR will be seen in triple role for the first time. The film is set for September release.

Superstar announces double treat for his fans

Super Star Mahesh Babu‘s upcoming movie Spyder is on the last leg of its shoot. Earlier, Spyder was supposed to release on June 22nd but it got postponed to September 22nd as a Dasara treat to Telugu audience. Sources inform that Spyder complete shoot is going to wrap up by June 2nd.

Ongoing reports suggest that the makers of the movie have prepared two teasers and one will be released on eve of Super Star Krishna’s Birthday.

Mahesh Babu‘s First teaser from Spyder will be out on May 31st at any cost but there is no update information about the second teaser. For the first time, Rakul Preet will be seen playing as a love interest in Spyder alongside Mahesh Babu where the actor will portray as an intelligence officer in the movie. Daredevil stunts in Balayya’s next

Nandamuri Balakrishna is busy shooting for his next movie, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. Touted to be a mass entertainer,  Balayya will be seen as a gangster in the film. 

 

The shoot of the film is currently going on at a brisk pace in Portugal and the unit is canning some action episodes. It is heard that Balayya will perform few daredevil stunts  for the film and a chopper chase is currently being canned.
