Director Krishna Vamsi and macho hero Sundeep Kishan‘s most awaited filmNakshatram has been making headlines ever since it announced. Right from the first look poster, the film received thumping response from the audience. However, now let us see how the film will be.
Story:
Son of a deceased police constable, Rama Rao (Sundeep Kishan) aspires to become a cop. But a baddie and his gang try to prevent Rama Rao from turning up for the SI exam because of a tiff they had earlier.
During the course, Rama Rao falls in love with Regina, who is a dance assistant and event host. What are the consequences faced by Rama Rao? How he clears struggles? Did he become SI? What happens to Rama Rao’s love story? Forms the rest of the story.
Positive Aspects:
The movie shows the journey of the protagonist’s pursuit to be a part of the police force. The film features Sai Dharam Tej, Regina Cassandra and Pragya Jaiswal in pivotal roles. Ramabrahmam (Prakash Raj) plays an honest police commissioner. Tanish is his wayward son, a baddie, and looks quite menacing too. He and his gang successfully conspire to prevent Rama Rao from turning up for the SI exam because of a tiff they had earlier. Pragya Jaiswal makes her appearance as a sophisticated thief. Sai Dharam Tej makes his appearance as cop Alexander right before the interval.
Sundeep Kishan and Sai Dharam Tej have delivered brilliant performances, which has the highlights of Nakshatram. Regina Cassandra and Pragya Jaiswal fill the glamour slot. Prakash RajTanishViva Harsha, Raghu Babu, Thulasi, Sivaji Raja and Brahmaji have done justice to their roles.
There are two songs in the first half, one on Regina and the other on Pragya; both are lavishly shot. Nakshatram has good production value and brilliant choreography of action and stunts, picturisation, background score and punch dialogues are the attractions on the technical front.
Negative Aspects:
Dragging second half
High exposing
Verdict:
Many movies have been made on the police department and most of them have shown it in a negative light. However, now Krishna Vamsi has tried to showcase the strength and positive side of the department in Nakshatram. The director has penned an interesting story and screenplay, which engage and entertain you right from the beginning till the end. This film is worth your hard-earned bucks. Sundeep Kishan steals the show all the way.
Rating: 3/5
